During the first wave of harvest, the Company plans to harvest from a total area of 89.4 thousand hectares, of which 43.4 thousand hectares - winter wheat, 33.2 thousand hectares - winter rapeseed, 11.9 thousand hectares - winter barley and 529 hectares of rye.
«Due to the temperature, the harvesting campaign started with a slight delay, but we were ready for such a development and we expect to complete the harvesting of early grain on time. In general, the cool and long spring had a positive effect on the development of winter crops. They had a longer growing season and, accordingly, could form a potentially higher yield. All the crops are in good condition. We expect the planned gross yield from the first wave of harvest», - Vitaliy Stavnichuk, Operations Director of Continental Farmers Group commented.
He also added that the Company is fully equipped. During the harvest, 97 of our own combines will operate, 11 of which are new New Holland CR 8.90, purchased especially for this season. 746 trucks will be involved in the logistics from eight Continental`s production clusters. The Company's elevators are completely ready for acceptance and storage of grain.
The most active course of the harvesting campaign in Continental Farmers Group is expected from July 10 to August 5. The second wave of harvest, according to preliminary forecasts, will begin in early September. In total, this season the agricultural holding plans to harvest from an area of over 189 thousand hectares.
