The Continental Farmers Group held a Field Day. During this event, the Company specialists showed their precise farming technologies in action. Participants in the event were the partners and Continental Farmers Group’s peer agricultural companies. They learned about the latest innovations in the agricultural field, shared their practical experience in growing agricultural crops and had an opportunity to strengthen and develop their cooperation with the agricultural holding company under the Continental Farmers Group’s partnership program.
The Continental Farmers Group continues planting potatoes
A potato planting campaign gains momentum at the Continental Farmers Group. The Company began planting chips varieties of potatoes in the fields of its Vyriv Kartoplia production block located in the Lviv Oblast as well as the table varieties of potatoes in the Vasylkivtsi block in the Ternopil Oblast. The planting structure also includes the seed potatoes. As of the present day, the seeded area is 213 hectares out of 1.9 thousand hectares.

Following the results of an independent survey performed by Randstad Employer Brand Research, the Continental Farmers Group came the winner in the most attractive employer nomination in the agricultural field. On April 14, the results of the survey of Ukrainian brands were announced. This year’s award ceremony was held in an online format.
Continental Farmers Group publishes its Corporate Social Responsibility Report
The Continental Farmers Group has published its Corporate Social Responsibility Report that sets out information about its taxes paid in 2020 and its social investments made that year. The Company reports in detail, the amounts of its tax deductions by State, Oblast, district and local budgets as well as those paid to the budget of the Pension Fund of Ukraine. For example, the Continental Farmers Group paid UAH 923.3 million to all-level budgets in the prior year. The amount of its social investments allocated to communities over the past year was UAH 30.8 million.
The Continental Farmers Group launches Future Continental internship project for young specialists
The Continental Farmers Group launches an internship program for Western Ukrainian college and university students and graduates majoring in agriculture professions. The Future Continental Program envisages learning sessions and practical classes in the positions of an agriculturist and mechanical engineer. All the trainees will have a formal official employment in accordance with labor legislation. The Company pays for internship training and also provides board and lodging to the participants.

Continental Farmers Group reported on taxes paid in 2020 and implemented social projects. Over the past year, the Company paid to all-level budgets over UAH 923.3 million which is UAH 253.2 more than in 2019. The Continental Farmers Group used UAH 30.8 million for social support to the communities, which the agricultural holding company works with in the territory of the five Western Ukrainian regions.
Continental Farmers Group Marks the End of Late Grain Harvesting Campaign
Continental Farmers Group takes stock of its late grain harvesting campaign. A 100% of the planned cropping area - over 86 thousand ha - has been successfully harvested. In the overall crop sown structure, sunflower was allocated 32.2 thousand ha, soybean 31.9 thousand ha, and corn 21.8 thousand ha, with the gross yield of 105.3 thousand tons, 90.2 thousand tons, and 205.8 thousand tons, respectively.

Continental Farmers Group is biologizing its production processes. The Company pays a particular attention to reclaiming and preserving the soils. This is why, apart from the traditional tillage system, it works on the biologization and restoration of soil fertility. To put organic substances in the soil, the agricultural holding company uses green manure crop, chicken manure and composted fertilizer.
Continental Farmers Group implements a new fertilizer system in its fields
In parallel with the harvesting campaign, the soil in the fields of the Continental Farmers Group is being prepared for the next year’s crops. For the first time ever, the Agricultural Holding is testing a new technology for it, which envisions a fertilizer treatment using mechanical hoes. Using this local fertilizer treatment technique, the Company plans not just to save up to 20% of fertilizers but also to increase the effectiveness of their application by 20-30%.
