28 June 2022

The 1st wave of harvests has started at the Continental Farmers Group. The Company has begun threshing winter barley, for which 11.4 thousand hectares have been allocated. Then winter rape and wheat will be harvested. The planned area for these crops is 34.6 thousand hectares and 40.1 thousand hectares, respectively. In total, during the summer harvest, the Company is planning to harvest from a total area of 86.2 thousand hectares.

The Company notes that this year`s harvesting campaign started according to plans. The accompanying weather conditions are favourable.

“We have started the harvest, which, without exaggeration, is of super-significant importance not only for our Company but also for the country. It will not be easy for all farmers. Our team has been working hard and preparing for this period. We resolved issues related to logistics, supplies of goods and materials, preparation of storage facilities and other issues before so as not to stop now and quickly collect grain. Preliminarily we plan to obtain planned yield indicators. This spring has been quite arid in some regions, but there is no critical impact on the state of crops,” commented Georg von Nolcken, CEO of Continental Farmers Group.

During the harvest, 113 combines will work on the fields of the Continental. After harvesting the grain, the Continental will immediately cultivate the soil for the following crops.
