"We started the harvest with a slight delay caused by the weather, but now it has improved and helps to maintain the quality of the crops, so we are optimistic. Despite the cool and rainy days in early summer, the crops are ripe and ready for harvest. Along with the harvesting campaign, the team is working on organising logistics and sales of the harvested crop," commented Georg von Nolken, CEO of Continental.
During the 2023 harvesting season, 127 combines will be working on Continental's fields, 90 of which will be from the Company's technical fleet. Storage facilities are also ready to receive the harvest. Continental plans to store the grain harvested during the first wave of harvesting at its own elevators with a total capacity of over 500,000 tonnes, and, if necessary, in polymer sleeves.
