The harvest of crops from wintering can be assessed as successful: the seedlings are in good condition. The low temperatures observed in mid-February did not have a critical impact on the crops, so the Company expects successful dynamics of the vegetation processes of winter crops this season.
“Operational activities are proceeding according to the plan. The weather contributed to the timely start of field work, which we traditionally started with fertilization with nitrogen fertilizers. If we talk about technological processes this season, we, of course, pay attention to market trends and have partially revised the protection and power systems. However, in general, the planned yield indicators of crops, in particular winter crops, are set at last year`s level,” commented Vitalii Stavnichuk, the Chief Operating Officer of the Continental Farmers Group.
The Company prepared for the new production season in advance. Even last year, the Company purchased the necessary equipment for the planned field work. Fertilizer stocks, the total volume of which this season reached 73,000 tons, were fully delivered to the Company`s warehouses. The production units are also provided with protective equipment and seeds for future sowing.
