The Linden Marathon

The Linden Marathon is a social and environmental project that Continental Farmers Group implements as part of a program to develop beekeeping and beekeeping cooperation in the communities where it operates. The goal of the initiative is to promote the growth of the industry by increasing the area of linden plantations.

Since the start of the project in 2019, more than 12.7 thousand honey tree seedlings have been planted in several dozen settlements in Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Chernivtsi, and Khmelnytskyi regions. Hundreds of volunteers joined the work: beekeepers, members of cooperatives and NGOs, representatives of Continental and local governments, forestry workers, schoolchildren, and just residents.

In 2019, 230 seedlings were planted in the villages of Ozerna, Ostashivtsi, and Danylivtsi (Ternopil region).

Another 282 and 575 seedlings were planted in these villages in 2020 and 2021, respectively. Also in 2020, additional planting was carried out in the village of Tsebriv.

In 2019, 280 seedlings were planted in the city of Pidhaitsi and in the villages of Yablunivka, Golhocha and Verbiv (Ternopil region). In 2020, 1,550 seedlings were planted in the city of Pidhaitsi, as well as in the villages of Yablunivka, Golhocha, Halych, Stare Misto and Muzhyliv.

And in 2021, 500 seedlings were planted in the villages of Golhocha, Halych and Stare Misto. Another 100 seedlings in the villages of Yablunivka and Uhryniv were planted in 2023.

In 2019, 200 seedlings were planted in the villages of Viliia and Tetylkivtsi (Ternopil region).

Another 150 seedlings were planted in these villages in 2020.
